For me Organisational Development is about understanding and, when needed, transforming key reference points (beliefs, expectations, assumptions, etc) of individuals, teams and organisations. It is also about pragmatically working with these influences while addressing the purpose, key relationships, processes (resilience) and learning (renewal) that are constantly evolving in an organisation.

This can/will use ‘inquiry and generative processes that help stimulate the emergence of new and potentially transformational insights and possibilities that are especially needed when facing highly complex, novel organisational challenges.’ (p47, Marshak, My Journey in Dialogic Organisational Development, OD Practitioner, vol 47 no.2 2015)
